"Vincerà o no l'Italia di Pozzo i mondiali di calcio?", e poi "ma è più bravo Coppi o Bartali?", ed ancora "Chi scegliere tra Mazzola e Rivera per la maglia azzurra?". Quanti di questi discorsi avranno sentito i muri del Bar Sport in quasi ottanta anni di storia.

Quando lo sport in TV era poco e le parabole erano qualcosa di sconosciuto, a Sassetta ci si ritrovava qui a discutere di pallone, di boxe e di ciclismo eroico, ma anche per bere e per mangiare bene. Chi era bambino negli anni '60 ricorda ancora molto bene il gelato artigianale di questo bar. Oggi è diventato un bar moderno seppur inserito nell'atmosfera di antica cantina di un palazzo seicentesco.  

“Is Italy of Pozzo going to win the Football World Cup?” and then “Who's better between Coppi and Bartali?” and then again “Who would you choose between Mazzola and Rivera for the blue shirt?”. Many of these conversations have been heard by the walls of Bar Sport during its almost 80 years of history. When there was little sport on TV, people from Sassetta used to meet here to talk about football, boxing

and heroic cycling, but also for drinking and eating good. Those who were children in the Sixties still remember very well the home-made ice-cream of this café. Today it is a modern café yet integrated in the atmosphere of an ancient cellar in a seventeenth-century building.
